About

Hi, I'm Christie.

I'm the designer, owner, and chief color-picker behind Stitch School. Welcome.

I make stitch-printed needlepoint canvases and beginner kits in colors that don't apologize for themselves. Cherry red. Hot pink. Lime green. True white. Royal blue. The kind of palette that makes you want to pick up a needle just to be near it.

If traditional needlepoint feels a little too navy-and-cream for you, you're in the right place.

A little color history

I've loved fabric and thread for as long as I can remember. There's something about working with textiles — the texture under your fingers, the way color behaves differently in thread than it does on a screen, the slow satisfaction of building something stitch by stitch — that I've never gotten tired of. My mom owned a successful quilt shop, so I came by it honestly. But the love of the medium is mine.

I've been stitching in some form for decades: cross-stitch, embroidery, and now needlepoint, which feels like coming home. I've also spent 20 years building businesses in the craft and lifestyle world — quilting, scrapbooking, boutique retail, embroidery — and a few things have stayed constant the whole time: I love color, I love community, and I love making things that make people happy.

Stitch School is the most "me" version of all of that. Every canvas is my original design. Every color choice is mine. Every kit is built to make stitching feel approachable and joyful, whether it's your first time picking up a needle or your fiftieth.

What we make

Stitch-printed needlepoint canvases that take the guesswork out of stitching. The design is printed directly on the canvas, so you're not counting threads or squinting at charts — just stitching where the color tells you to.

Beginner kits with everything you need: canvas, threads, needles, scissors, a needle threader, a tomato pin cushion, and a ripper for the inevitable "wait, that's not right" moment. We don't believe in making it hard for new stitchers. Stitching should feel like a treat, not a test.

Designs that don't take themselves too seriously. Cherries. Rainbow books. Gingham bows. Pineapples. Roller skates. The kinds of things that look good on a pillow, in a frame, or propped on a shelf where you'll smile every time you see them.

Who this is for

This is for the woman who wants a hobby that feels like hers — something tactile and slow and beautiful, away from the screen. The mom whose kids are old enough that she finally gets a quiet evening to herself. The lifelong stitcher who's ready for a palette that matches her actual taste. The complete beginner who's been wanting to try this forever.

Stitch School isn't for the heirloom-traditional crowd, and that's on purpose. We're for stitchers who want color, joy, and a project they're excited to pick up.

What's coming

I'm currently transitioning from Coral Daisy Stitches to Stitch School — a name that better reflects where this is going. Stitch School is becoming a real school: a community where I teach what I know, share what I'm learning, and help more women fall in love with this craft. Free education, paid education, and always — always — beautiful things to stitch.

If that sounds like your kind of place, you're going to love it here.

Welcome, friend. So glad you're here.
